How Rider handles your calls

What happens to the audio, the transcript and your accounts, which providers help process them, and what is not in place yet.

Invite-only right now. You get 10 free minutes when you join, no card.

What happens to a call

Consent comes first

By default your first line asks whether the other person minds an AI note-taker, and Rider does not listen to them until you have asked. An optional automatic notice can play before the call connects.

If they object

The call goes on without suggestions. Rider keeps only the fact that they objected.

Audio

Audio of both sides streams to the transcription provider while the call is live. Rider does not save recordings by default.

What is kept

The transcript, the notes and objectives, the suggestions shown, and call details such as time, length and the number dialed. There is no time limit on how long records are kept yet.

Calendar

Only if you turn on Apple Calendar. During a call the app sends busy time blocks for the next two weeks, with no titles, attendees or locations. They are used for that call and not saved.

Payments

Card details go to Stripe and never reach Rider's servers.
